Vizocom strikes new relationship with Eutelsat for Internet connectivity in Middle East and Africa

Two beams on EUTELSAT 21B to deliver secure communications to users in remote areas

Vizocom, a provider of integrated satellite broadband solutions, today announced it has selected the EUTELSAT 21B satellite operated by Eutelsat Communications (NYSE Euronext Paris: ETL) to implement a reliable and flexible connectivity service in countries with harsh and challenging environments and limited terrestrial infrastructure.

Vizocom’s new AfricAsia Satellite Services will take advantage of two high-power service areas of the EUTELSAT 21B satellite to offer connectivity with speeds ranging from 6Mbps to 10 Mbps in the Middle East and Africa.

Vizocom’s service has been deployed in Mali for Bangladesh Army (BDA) Peacekeeping Forces situated since April 2014 in multiple military bases as part of a United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission. Vizocom’s AfricAsia Satellite Services support BDA for critical functions, training services and logistics operations, ensuring mission preparation and execution while minimising risks.
