. Opening today of the call for candidates for the 2023 award campaign

Paris, 11 January 2023 – Today marks the kick-off of the call for candidates for the Fondation Ailes de France's 2023 ESPACE Scholarships in partnership with CNES and with support from Eutelsat.

The purpose of the scholarships is to offer young people up to 25 years of age pursuing various scientific and non-scientific studies the opportunity to carry out their educational projects in the space industry.

Under the aegis of the Fondation de France, the Fondation Ailes de France seeks to promote knowledge and awareness of the aerospace sector by supporting, among others, educational, scientific, cultural and sustainable development projects. It has made it a priority to take action in support of young people as they prepare for their professional lives.

In this context, and for the third year in a row, the ESPACE Scholarships will be providing assistance and support to talented young students interested in pursuing a career in the space sector. The ambition of this initiative is to raise awareness of space among young people and assist them in finding their way into the professional world, while also helping to bring out the best in French talent in the sector.

In 2023, the Ailes de France Foundation, together with CNES and Eutelsat, plans to grant up to twelve scholarships worth 5,000 euros each. Next March, a jury of prominent experts from CNES, Eutelsat, the French Air Force and space industry firms will be tasked with selecting the projects. This will be followed by an official ESPACE Scholarship award ceremony.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 15 March 2023.
