Eric Moltzau joins Eutelsat America Corp. as Senior Vice President, Business Development and Strategy

Paris, Washington DC, 20 October 2016 – Eutelsat America Corp., the Washington DC-based affiliate of Eutelsat Communications (NYSE Euronext Paris: ETL), specialising in broadband and data solutions to support government services, oil and gas industries and enterprise customers, announces the appointment of Eric Moltzau as Senior Vice President Business Development and Strategy. Eric will lead strategic planning, business development activities and hosted payload initiatives for expanding satellite-based services into government and commercial markets in North America. He will also be part of the group at Eutelsat that is leading the development of government services.

Prior to joining Eutelsat, Eric served at Intelsat General Corporation, where he led a corporate team responsible for developing and delivering new satellite network and space services for emerging customer markets.

Eric retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service. He served in a broad range of space leadership positions, in disciplines including spacecraft and ground system development and operations. While serving in the USAF, he also co-founded the Commercially Hosted Infrared Payload (CHIRP) programme that demonstrated the value proposition of hosting government payloads on commercial satellites.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Arizona State University and his Masters of Engineering degree in Space Operations from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
