  • Strengthening the long-term collaboration between Azam Media and Eutelsat
  • Reaffirming 7°East as a prime DTH neighbourhood for audiences across Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Highlighting the critical role of satellite in enabling broad audience reach

Paris, 12 November 2025 - Eutelsat (ISIN: FR0010221234 - Euronext Paris / London Stock Exchange: ETL) and Azam Media Ltd have expanded their long-standing partnership with a new multi-year, multi-transponder agreement at Sub-Saharan Africa’s prime 7° East video neighbourhood. This expanded partnership will enable Azam Media to extend its pay-TV Direct-to-Home presence in East Africa, bringing more regional and international channels to one of the most viewed and popular orbital positions across the region.

7° East is a prime video hotspot for English-speaking audiences in Sub-Saharan Africa. With a wide Sub-Saharan Africa coverage and excellent power levels, the satellite neighbourhood is renowned for its extensive coverage and high-performance video distribution capabilities.

Eutelsat and Azam Media have a long history of collaboration together, creating a strong and important DTH presence in Sub-Saharan Africa. Today, the leading TV platform delivers over 130 TV channels to audiences. By deepening its collaboration with Eutelsat, Azam Media are further leveraging satellite technology to deliver high-quality, uninterrupted viewing experience to millions of viewers — including those in underserved and remote regions.

“The addition of two new transponders to our current capacity on EUTELSAT 7C is a testament to our commitment in providing a superior viewing experience to our customers” said Jacob Joseph, CEO of AzamTV.

Aymeric Genty, President of Eutelsat’s Video Business Unit, added: “We are delighted to be deepening our partnership with Azam Media. Our 7° East neighbourhood continues to be the go-to choice for video distribution in Eastern Africa, and we’re excited to help Azam Media scale their platform to meet increasing viewer demand. This partnership underscores the critical role of satellite in enabling inclusive access to information and entertainment, especially in areas where terrestrial infrastructure is limited. With this expansion, Azam Media is set to offer a broader range of content to a diverse and growing audience.”
